My first winter back

Spring has arrived at last, ripe with tulips and other flowering plant that I tended while I was gone from November 2015 through July 2017.

I missed this place so much. I love California, where I now work half-time, but this is home. How to resolve the two, I do not yet know. Still, I stay on here, recouping what was lost during those years I was gone. I came up on the occasional weekend, and on the week of my 50th birthday last year to put up a deer-proof fence.
